While re-writing TrueIP to include more features, it occurred to me that it would be nice to be able to access a webpage containing a list of all my computers with dynamic IP addresses. With this application, it would be easy to log into the site from anywhere in the world and view the listing. So I built a new online application called TrueIP Online. It is in a very early beta stage, but the current features are fully implemented. If you have the need to track one or more dynamic IP addresses remotely, then TrueIP Online will probably help you tremendously. Go ahead and register and try it out with the new TrueIP desktop client. If you have any comments or questions, please send them via the contact page or leave the comment on this blog posting.

Ok, here’s the latest information. I’ve decided to cut back on the dynamic aspects of the website. I converted everything over to basic HTML/CSS with no dynamic tracking or counters. It is a very low bandwidth website now. There are very few images, except screenshots and the title image. I tried to design it without using tables at all. I have integrated the advertisements better into the design so they are less intrusive.

I’ve been kicked out of my free data center hosting. I had to bring the server into my house, but Verizon blocks incoming port 80. Currently I have a redirect set up so that all traffic going to www.haztek-software.com is redirected to www2.haztek-software.com:81. It kinda sucks having to host the page on port 81, since it’s not standard, but, I have no choice unless I want to go to another data center. Eventually I will remove all the dynamic content from the website and publish it with a cheap hosting company, but for now, this is the way it is going to be.
